Protecting your candles and wax melts, even in a heatwave.

At Clive’s Candles, we take pride in crafting high-quality products that look beautiful, smell amazing and perform perfectly in your home. Every candle is handmade with care and we go to great lengths to ensure it arrives with you in perfect condition.

That’s why, during periods of very warm weather, we make the decision to pause deliveries when temperatures exceed 25°C.

Why 25°C? While that might feel like a pleasant summer day to most of us, it’s a different story inside delivery vans. These vehicles can reach internal temperatures three times higher, especially when left in direct sun or without ventilation. That kind of heat can soften the wax, shift wicks, melt labels and compromise the fragrance, none of which meets our standards or yours.

We know how important it is for your candles and wax melts to arrive just as we intended: beautifully finished and ready to enjoy. Rather than risk disappointing you with a melted or damaged product, we choose to hold off dispatching orders until it’s safe to do so.

This pause only applies to wax-based products. You can still order and receive reed diffusers, room sprays, body wash and body lotion as usual, as those products aren’t affected by temperature in the same way.

This pause is always temporary and weather dependent and we’ll keep you updated on social media and through our website when things are back to normal. In the meantime, if you’ve got your eye on something for a gift or occasion, we recommend ordering ahead, especially during the warmer months.
